CHELSEA ARE GOING TO BLOW IT!! Put yourself in Antonio Conte’s shoes. You’re cruising on top of the league, many points ahead of all of the stragglers, winning an endless amount of games. But, all of a sudden, BAM: 2 losses in 4 games. The last time Chelsea lost 2 games in 4 was back in September when they lost consecutive games against Liverpool and Arsenal. The starting lineup that Manchester United wasn’t even that strong. With Ashley Young leading the team and no Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan, or Martial, United still managed to fend off the league leaders. The first goal came from an outstanding perfectly-weighted pass from Ander Herrera that Marcus Rashford latched on to before slotting home, scoring in back-to-back PL games for the first time since September 2016. This was the earliest PL goal that Chelsea conceded since December 2013 when Skrtel scored for Liverpool in 3 minutes and was the difference between the sides at the break. Chelsea managed only one shot in the first half, their lowest total in a PL first half this season. After the half, it seemed as though Chelsea were going to bounce back, but Herrera had other things in mind. In the 49th minute, his shot was deflected into the net after great work from Ashley Young, his first PL goal since February 2016. Herrera scored and assisted in the same PL game for the first time since October 2015. Manchester United were very clinical in this game, scoring with both of their shots on target. United managed to hold off Chelsea the entire game, causing Chelsea to fail to have a single shot on target in a PL game, their first time since September 2007 (against Manchester United again). Mourinho has now recorded at least 1 league victory against all 34 PL clubs that he has faced as a manager as Manchester United move up to 5th place.
