Man Utd have “identified” Atalanta midfielder Ederson as a potential transfer target ahead of the summer transfer window, according to BBC reporter Sami Mokbel.
The journalist broke the news last year that Arsenal were set to sign Martin Zubimendi before other sources, and he has strong contacts at most Premier League teams.
Ederson has been linked with a move to Old Trafford on a regular basis over the past few years, but he wasn’t believed to be among the club’s top midfield options for this summer. However, Mokbel says he is under consideration:
“Outside the Premier League, Atalanta midfielder Ederson is among the players in Europe who club recruitment staff have identified as having potential.”
Ederson would be a cheap addition to the squad
The 26-year-old is closing in on the final year of his contract at Atalanta, and that has had a huge impact on his value.
Ederson could be available for as little as €30m (£26m), which is a dramatic drop on the €60m (£52m) plus that his club wanted for him last year.
If United don’t qualify for the Champions League, or if they are looking for a second midfield signing (in addition to a more expensive purchase), a move for the Brazilian may be explored.
Man Utd have yet to settle on their top target
The club’s transfer budget will be determined by several factors. Finishing in the top 4/5 would help increase funds, while sales will also assist in the club’s recruitment drive.
For that reason, signing the likes of Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali or even Brighton’s Carlos Baleba may only be possible under certain circumstances.
Waiting to decide on your top target doesn’t come without risk. If they wait too long, there is a chance they could lose out on players to their rivals.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
